November 5, started a new lifestyle for us. We opened our door to a family in need for a time. Wendy (mom), Kirsten, 17, Willie, 16, and little Christopher, 2, all joined our family at a time of hardship for them. As they struggle with the ups and downs of life, we are here to help them to stand. It hasn't always been easy, for the need is great, but it has been rewarding at times and hopfully a blessing to them also. Little Christopher, being two, has been the biggest change. We weren't quite ready for the two year old stage. He is a cutie most of the time, but...
We've made room for them by switching rooms for Bret. He now shares with Willie using the bunk-beds in the craft room. Kirsten has Bret's old room and Wendy and Christopher are out in the cottage. I'm doing most of the cooking and everyone else is the clean up crew, which helps me enjoy cooking so much more.
I've gone to court with Wendy a few times and have heard some sad stories from those whose cases went before Wendy's. There is a lot of heartache out there, someitmes it just breaks your heart.
Hopfully things will be resolved sooner than later and they can begin to stand on their own in their own home.
