Another Monday Morning

Good Morning! What a bright moment (I do live in Western Washington). Last Thursday, Sarah and I headed to Washtucna. Mom had been in the hospital for a a few day and had hoped to be out by last Monday. She ended up being there till Friday. We were happy she was able to come home then. Sarah and I spent a little time shopping for Mother's Day gifts for my mom and mom-in-law, although we walked all over town we didn't find anything we liked enough to buy. So they ended up with pretty cards.
We, (Beth and Kevin came over Friday), spent the weekend with Mike's parents and spent time with mom at her home during the afternoons and evenings.
The Kids headed to Walla Walla on Saturday to do a little shopping and visit some dear friends of ours. Bret, on the other hand, was home with Sarah's fiance, Spencer and a friend, Ben, for the weekend taking care of the cows, birds and pets. Surprising the house wasn't a total mess when we got home.
When we got home I had a surprise, I had won the Franklin Springs giving away of the HOMESTEAD BLESSINGS SERIES. I was thrilled to receive the three DVDs and am looking forward to watching with my girls.
During our trip Sarah and I enjoyed listening to Voddie Bauchum CDs, we had the joy of listening to him at the Christiam Heritage Conference in April. It made our 12 hours of travel time go by quickly. It also gave us plenty to talk about.
We never know what's in store for us on a certain day, from taking care of a little one to charging across the state to visit a sick reletive. Some things happen because of our sin and others happen because of our natural declining state. But whatever it is know that God is in the midst of it and you can rely on Him to get you through.
The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord , have not forsaken those who seek you.
Psa 9:9,10
