Monday, Monday

What a fun way to start a Monday, creating a blog!
It started out as a beautiful day, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, now it's looking a little gloomy and overcast.  But if the weather holds I will get the lawn mowed and the garden tilled before the rain begins to fall.
I'm ready to plant my garden.  We have eight raised beds that make gardening a joy instead of a drudgery.  We will plant green beans, peas, carrots, lettuce, etc...  We will also try melons again....one day I hope to actually get fruit off the vines.
Last year's garden did well. We had losts of beans, broccoli, califlower, peas, and such and I was able to put up quite a bit. I even made some pumpkin butter, yummy. We are hoping to add a greenhouse and some more beds this year and I would love to have a fence to keep the chickens out.
"Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop-thirty, sixty or even a hundred times what was sown." Mar 4:20
As we begin our effort to grow a great garden, it puts me in mind of the garden where Christ wants us to grow. We are put here on earth for times such as these. To sow seeds of God's word, the love of Christ, who died for you and me and rose again from the dead that we may one day be raised with him to eternaty in heaven. Those seeds look different every time you sow them and the results may never be seen by us, but God is at work, He knows! All we need to do is His will.
What's your crop look like today?
