Yesterday was my birthday. Just a statement of fact. We all get older. Another statement of fact. But, as birthdays go mine was nice. I worked in the garden in the morning till Faber (the six month old I'm babysitting) came, around 7:30. All time seems to be gaged by naps while he's here. Beth was a dear and watched him while I took a nice soak in the tub, ahhhh...
After Faber was picked up (hours later) Bret, his friend Kirsten, Beth and hubby Kevin and I went to see the movie "Up". It was pretty good. I liked the fact that the main character had a long and loving married life, and Russle was adorable. {You won't get a spoiler here!} We ate too much popcorn and drank too much soda.
After the movie we went to Winco, my favorite grocery store, for my bi-monthly grocery shopping extravaganza. They also make some tastey pizza so we ordered the take and bake and headed home. Sarah and Spencer were there along with Sarah's best friend Katie and my good friend Sue, so the household was bustling with activity while the groceries were put away and the pizza baking in the oven. Katie and Sarah were working on her "Save the Day" magnets and Sue was there to drop off a picture and an invitation to her son's, David, graduation party.
The only thing that would have made the day better is if Mike would have been home to enjoy it with me.
